Going forward, going backwards.

So, my laptop died and could not be saved, at that point I hoped that the memory could be saved.

It could not be. Turns out windows 11 automatically puts a bitlocker on your drive, a bitlocker that, for some reason, was not connected to the account I registered when I got that computer.

Shit is lost, things suck. Good thing is that all of the work for Chapter 1 was saved to an external hard drive. A lot of the work for chapter 2 is lost, and this includes musical setups and the beginning of future songs, which may be the biggest loss.

Going forward, as I am buying a new computer, this will be the focus:

1: Set up the musical tools need to go forward again, this is harder than it sounds.

2: Get cloudsaving.

3: Work on commision music to build up future funding to work on DOJD.

4: Instead of crying about the lost chapter 2 progress, focus on chapter 1 and make it steam-presentable.

I had originally planned to launch chapter 1 on steam after this summer but I got sucked into working on chapter 2 stuff. The urge to work on new things is strong. As I am forced to redo a lot of work regardless, I will be looking backward, to look forward.

May also be a small collab-game in the making.

Oh that sucks! I think you should look into setting up a Github repository. It has saved me 3 times already, where I have corrupted my entire project, but then I just roll back to a previous commit. Anyway, hope you can get everything sorted out soon!

New computer aquired, buying cloud saving when I can afford it. I think gith may be to small to keep all of the music stuff I need saved. In any case, thank you.

Thanks!

A lot was lost, but I will keep on trucking. New computer is a beast, so that is the good part out of all of this.

Sorry to heat that man, losing work is always de-motivating. You can power through this brotha

I will, but it will take some time. Gonna work through some commissions for music that has been on standby and then get to work again.
